This sugar retains the natural molasses giving rapadura its unique caramel flavour, sweet aroma and rich golden colour. How To Use: Rapadura is an unrefined sugar made from sugarcane juice and can be used instead of white, raw or brown sugar in many recipes to give a slightly caramelised flavour. Replace other sugars 1:1. It’s especially tasty in muffins, cookies and fruit cakes but is not ideal for light recipes such as meringue due to the molasses and higher water content. It’s a good choice for adding sweetness to curries, hotpots, marinades, sauces, raw treats and baked goods. Storage: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
